How to Resolve CSV Task Failures with Clear File Queue

Description


When a task with a CSV source integration is triggered, SyncSpider processes files from the source folder and transfers the data to the target integration. However, if the task encounters an issue—such as a connection failure, incorrect file format, or processing error—it might not complete successfully. As a result, files may remain in the queue without being processed.


This article explains how to resolve such issues by using the "Clear File Queue" feature in SyncSpider. This simple yet effective action resets the file queue and ensures the task continues processing files without disruption.



 

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:


Step 1: Access Task Settings

Open SyncSpider and navigate to the task experiencing the issue and go to the Task Settings step.



Step 2: Locate and Click Clear File Queue

At the bottom of the Task Automation section. Find the X CLEAR FILE QUEUE button.


Click the button to reset the file queue stored in SyncSpider's database.




Step 3: Re-trigger the Task


After clearing the file queue, manually re-trigger the task or wait for the next scheduled run. 


The Scheduler is notified of the cleared queue. On the next trigger, it retrieves all existing files from the source folder and adds them to a newly created queue for processing. 


With the new queue, the task resumes file processing as if starting fresh, ensuring that no files are missed or duplicated.
