How to integrate Cognito Forms

Erstellt von Ivana B, Geändert am Thu, 21 Jul 2022 um 05:00 PM von Igor Galic

With our Cognito Forms integration module, you'll be able to Send New Replies and Edited Replies from Cognito Forms on API call trigger by corresponding event.

Possible entities as a Source are: New Reply, Edited Reply

Possible Task Triggers are API calls upon the correspondent events

If you need any additional functionality or additional entities, please make your request here.

Note: You can set up any integration within the Task itself, you do not need to set up the Integration beforehand.

Step 1:

First, log in to your SyncSpider account, and proceed to your Integrations page from the toolbar on the left or create a new task.

Step 2:

Now, you will see the list of integrations offered by SyncSpider. Select Cognito Forms application from the list, or use the search bar to find it easily.

NOTE: You can have more than one integration with one app/tool. Using descriptions will help you organize more efficiently.

Step 3:

After selecting Cognito Forms, enter the integration name and description (optional) then click on the Next button.

Step 4:

In the next window check the box for Capture Webhook Response and click the clipboard icon to copy the Webhook URL.

Note: keep this tab open until you get the webhook response after triggering (see next steps).

Step 5

In another tab or window log in to Cognito Forms and select a form. Select the Submission Settings section from the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

Then click Post JSON Data to a Website.

Step 6

Select the first action (New Entry).

In this case, we are showing you how to connect and integrate "New Reply" data. The process is absolutely the same for  "Edited Reply" data.

So, if you need to integrate "Edited Reply" data, just do the same process, but select the "Edited Reply" data.

Paste your Webhook URL into the input field of the first event (Submit Entry Endpoint).

Turn on "Post JSON Data to a Website" if disabled and Save changes.

Step 7

Fill out and send a new entry for the form. Go back to SyncSpider to verify that your webhook response has been successfully captured.

This will be indicated through text appearing in the setup window.

Step 8

Perform Steps 4-7 for the Edited Reply pasting the URL on Cognito Forms into the Update Entry Endpoint input field and testing by editing an existing response.

Verify new webhook response in SyncSpider.

Finish/Save your new integration.

Congratulations! Cognito Forms is now successfully integrated.
